Cruise

Right after the wedding we flew over to Florida and my Mom, Joe, and me met up with Annie to take advantage of my discount cruise for working up in Alaska this summer. The downside of being an employee is that they can pull you last minute - so we were booked on the Panama Canal cruise originally leaving out of Ft. Lauderdale but got pulled three days before and switched to our next choice a two week Caribbean cruise leaving out of Miami.

We first had to find a place to stay Sunday night before we could board our ship so we started calling friends who we thought were close. Well after we were referred to a friend of a friend of a friend we took a car up to Miami and met our new friend Adam! He was so nice to share his apartment with us for the night and we walked around and got some food before we all just crashed - we stayed with him after the cruise as well and made some great memories so needless to say we're real friends now and we told him to call us up if he ever needs us to return the favor. My mom was a bit surprised by this whole situation by the way - but I just told her that if she wanted to travel with us college students she had to travel like us too which means sleeping on the floor or in our case in the bed of a mutual stranger!
