The next island we went to was Barbados, and we got a tip from some of the crew members to head to this place called the boat yard. It was just a quick taxi ride from the ship and you paid $10 admission for a chair and umbrella, one free drink, access to the floating trampoline/iceberg, at high tide they opened the rope swing, and a complimentary taxi back to the ship - so not a bad deal.

and the iceberg in the Caribbean we scaled!
We enjoyed the beach and the water but probably our favorite thing here was when we walked about 1/4 of a mile down the beach and then swam out about 100 yds to these ship wrecks off the shore. The water was really clear and there were plenty of fish constantly swimming around us (I think the last group fed them)! But it was probably my favorite snorkeling we did on the trip and Annie had a great camera that was waterproof up to ten feet so we really had fun with that too!
One of the sunken ships
After all this exposure I totally got burned today! One of the sunken ships
Of course sunken ships remind me of pirates and we did have one lady on the cruise who had an eye patch, and she would change it daily to match her outfit (one even had the classic skull and crossbones). She was super into fashion and she had some awesome outfits so from time to time we would say "Pirate lady 3 o'clock" so that we could all see her dress of the night! And super funny story one night we did a little line dancing with the crew and Pirate Lady was behind us and mom toltally turned around and smacked her in the face - probably in her good eye which could have been terrible but Annie and I had to look away because we were busting up laughing and continued laughing all the way down to our room - I love pirates and she provided some great entertainment for us!
